Like every year, Fruit Attraction 2018 opened its doors last Tuesday October 23rd at IFEMA until Thursday 25th, celebrating as well its tenth anniversary. 3 intense days in which 70,000 professionals of the sector from more than 120 countries participated, 1,600 horticultural companies presenting their innovations and an international audience expectant and knowledgeable of the latest trends in the fruit and vegetable market. CINATUR could not miss this year, representing the group of Spanish companies of production and distribution of fruits and vegetables.
In this tenth edition of the largest international fair of the sector, our company participated with a stand that clearly showed our international vision and our goal of growth and expansion. Innovation was one of the keys in this horticultural event, being very present in all the fruit and vegetable export companies. Innovation must be part of the business strategy in this changing sector and in all its phases: in production, at an industrial level and in the distribution fruits and vegetables.
As fruit and vegetable exporters, in CINATUR we consider that sustainability is a key factor for the sector’s growth. Consumers are also a key factor that has to be taken into account, since increasingly, they demand to comply with environmental commitments to offer more quality and improve the availability of fruits and vegetables. The horticultural industry is Spain represents the primary agricultural sector, producing about 27.8 million tons of fruits and vegetables with great quality.
With this very positive fact, distributors of fruit and vegetables like CINATUR, contemplate a booming market in which exports are increasingly given prominence, representing today 60% of the entire production.
